Tonight we went to your first Halloween party. My friend from work, Christine, had an infant/toddler party. You were the youngest toddler there. You played really well with the kids: you went about your own business and played independently. You were very taken with baby Ethan: he was in a Boppy chair at your level so you kept going over and investigating him. I think you really wanted to hug him. There was another little boy there dressed like a penguin. Very gingerly you rubbed his shoulder. Somehow you know how to be gentle with other kids. Now if only you could apply that to the dogs... While we were there, you pulled all the toys off the shelves, and you started playing with some puzzles and seemed to really like them. You were a lionness, and I put some pink and purple ribbons in your mane so you look a bit more like a girl. I think it gives you some flair. You didn't mind the outfit at all. You even kept the hood up on your head. When I first put you in it, you got a little concerned that you could no longer see your hands, so I had to pull them out. You definitely stayed warm in it too so when we go out trick-or-treating at Nana and Grandpa's house the weather shouldn't be a problem.
