Your first Halloween was last night. We went to your Nana and Grandpa's house. They majorly do up the house for Halloween. All the rest of the family came over for dinner and trick-or-treating as well. Uncle Denny and Aunt Marilyn were so surprised with how much you ate and what you ate. You were very social and went to most everyone. It took you a bit to warm up at first though. (That makes me hopeful for this upcoming weekend when we celebrate your first birthday!) At one point you were going through the candy Grandpa and Nana had gotten to hand out. I looked over and you had sorted them into piles of matching candy. Apparently you have a bit of your dad's OCD.
After dinner but before it got too dark, we went trick-or-treating with your cousin Tyler. Your dad took you up to the doors. You carried your pumpkin bucket all on your own. Your dad would say "Trick or treat", the homeowner would put the candy in your bucket, you would look in the bucket as if you were inspecting the candy, and then you would hold the bucket back out to the people. We only went around the court. We'll go further when you're older. It was nice to have people know your Nana though - we got some big bags of candy! (And I say "we" as in your dad and I since you don't get to eat any of it.)
