You have added more to your vocabulary (although I may have mentioned some before) - down, ear, nose, belly, water, no, go go go, oh no, uh oh, all done, more, bye bye (complete with wave) - although not all perfectly you definitely get your point across. We can ask you where your belly is and you'll pull your shirt up to show us. We can ask you where your ear is and you'll grab your ear. We can ask you where your nose is and you'll poke my, Dad's, Kaya's, or Dixie's nose. (Apparently we need to work on possessives!) When you say "all done", you put both arms in the air. Now when you sign "more" you'll also say it. You have a sound that sounds sort of like "there you go" or "here we go", but it's not consistent yet.
Sometimes when we ask you for a kiss, you'll shake back and forth and say, "No, no, no." Sometimes you'll still give us one and sometimes you'll run the other way. The other morning you were home with Dad while I went back to work. Dad heard you coughing really bad over the monitor and then start asking for water, "Wawa, wawa." He got up, gave you a drink, you went "ahhhhh" after drinking, and then went back to sleep.
Today when I picked you up from daycare, Austin and Emily, Shawnie's kids were there. They're usually away at college. You used to be very afraid of Austin. Shawnie said you are the only baby to never sleep on Austin's chest. Today, you waved bye to Emily and opened your mouth to give her a kiss. She walked by and you kept your mouth open to give Austin a kiss. My how different you are! You're much more social, which is so great to see.
You've also begun identifying yourself in photos. When you see photos on our computer or around the house, you point at them and say, "Emma." The only problem is now every picture of any baby is "Emma" rather than "baby". We'll work on it!
