5 months

You turned 5 months on Thursday, Stella.  Now you are finally taking a bottle correctly for Daddy and Shawnie...just in time to start solids in a month.  You eat the cereal pretty well, but you want to help with the spoon.  That just makes you dirty and sticky and the whole process take longer.  You have also figured out how to suck your thumb, but you still don't do it consistently so I'm not concerned you'll become a thumb sucker.  You're rolling and scooting and squirming.  I'm surprised your head hasn't done a 180 trying to look around for your sister or the other kids at daycare.  Apparently Will at daycare loves you and talks about you at home too ("Baby Stel-La").  All the kiddos at daycare are gentle with you except Emma.  You just giggle at her though and encourage her.  She's still convinced you guys are best friends.

Getting after that thumb

Folding in your bottom lip and licking with your tongue is another of your new discoveries.

We also put you and your sister in the bathtub together for the first time the other night.  You were still in your little blue tub separately since you don't sit on your own yet.  Emma was geeked about it.  She'd giggle or laugh at you and you would squeal in excitement.  I got video and pictures but since you're naked I won't post it here.  (I'll save it for the DVD at your graduation party.)
