St. Patrick's Day Weekend

Yesterday was St Patrick's Day.  I put you in your "Daddy's Lady Luck" t-shirt and we went shopping.  I had some coupons for some stores at the outlets in Howell, and I had to get you some pajamas and shoes. We've had some unseasonably warm weather so I needed to get you some pajamas with shorts and t-shirts.  We went to the outlets, and you were great!  It took some convincing to get you to leave the LEGO table at Carter's, but you didn't cry or throw a fit or anything.  We hit the shoe store (didn't find anything) and then Old Navy.  We got a few things for Stella too.  Then we drove back and had lunch at Panera.  Went to Payless and got you one pair of sandals, but they were dressy and you needed something a little more casual.  Then you wanted to go see Daddy so we stopped at Best Buy.  I wanted to hit up Target to get done with your shoes so we did that.  We didn't get home until about 4 hours after we left.  You were a trooper!  You'll be a shopper yet!

On our way home, I looked in my rearview mirror and noticed a lot of sun was on your eyes and you had your sunglasses on the top of your head.  I rolled the window up so it shaded the sun a bit from you.  Half way home you say to me, "Mama, I can reach the button!"  I wasn't sure what button you were talking about.  We get home, and I go to get you out of the car and notice the window is rolled all the way down. The ensuing conversation went something like this:

Me: Emma, did you roll that window down?
You: Yeah.  I can reach that button.
Me: With what?  Show me.
You: I can't.
Me: Why not?  Show me what you reached the button with.
You: I can't reach the button (with an "uh oh" look on your face).
Me: Emma, it's ok.  What did you reach the button with?
You: I didn't.

At this point I took your foot and see you can reach it with your toes.  Apparently I'll have to start locking that window when we drive!
