Family Sunday

Daddy had a meeting from 8-10 a.m. this morning. When he got home we went to Potbelly for lunch.  We were then going to meet Christine, Brian, Ben, Jack, Jen, Julie, and Lily at the MSU Dairy Store and then head over to the Children's Gardens.  You got your own bowl of strawberry ice cream but wanted to share my waffle cone of black cherry.  Jack got some stickers earlier in the day and saved one just for you!

Christine and Jack walked to the Children's Gardens and you wanted to walk with them.  You and Jack were running a bit.  Somehow you tripped and fell.  After that you didn't want to run anymore so you yelled at Jack that it was "walking time."

Once we got to the Children's Gardens, Jen had bubbles flying and you were into it.  Jack had already taken off to the part of the gardens he liked the best.  The rest of you guys were very into popping bubbles.  I was afraid you were so into it you weren't going to watch out for Ben or Lily.  Fortunately, no gigantic calamities today, even in the maze.

You were very concerned for Lily and wanted to keep giving her her water bottle.  She took full advantage of you holding it for her too.  You're big enough now to jump on the chimes and get them to ring on your own.

Looking at the fish since the water fountains weren't on in the pond.

Very concerned about Lily drinking enough water...

Riding the sheep.

On the way home you said, "Mama, I had a lot of fun!"  I really enjoy watching you play with other kids. You are very concerned with what they do -- sometimes to a fault where you want them to do exactly what YOU think they should be doing rather than what they want to do.  (You probably got that from me.  I've just learned to suppress that instinct!)
