Spring trip to the zoo

Today was a really nice Sunday.  Daddy was off so we went to the Potter Park Zoo.  It's free until the end of this month.  You were very excited to go.  As soon as we got there, you were on the hunt for animals.  You didn't stay long at any of the animals -- always asking, "Can we go find another one?  Where's another animal?"  You really wanted to see lions, monkeys, and giraffes.  Potter Park doesn't have giraffes, but did have the other two.  We found the monkeys last and by then you seemed ready to go.  You weren't impressed by the lemurs or the tiger cubs even.  We came around the corner to the petting zoo area.  They have murals on the walls.  Even before we noticed, you yelled out, "It's a yak!" You were right.  You did watch the yak for a bit.  You even got to see it scratch itself.

The yak!

Waving at the donkey.

Watching the tiger.

Tiger cubs.

The only giraffe they had.

Dad tried to get a good picture of us.  You didn't oblige.
