Ok, mama
Thank you, mama
When we get to the part in Red Pajama where the baby llama is calling for his mama to run to him, you yell "Run, mama, run!"
Two nights ago, your dad and I opened your memory game. We punched out all the cards and left them picture up. One of us would pick up a card, you'd say what was on the card, and then you'd find its match. Your dad was pretty impressed. With all the puzzles you do where you match the piece to the picture behind the piece, I wasn't surprised. I am impressed you can sort through so many pieces (there were 72 on the floor).
Tonight you had to go to the math review session with me at the high school. You've gone to all of them this year and one last year. You're pretty well-behaved. Tonight you would walk out the door, looking back at me, and then when I called you on it, you'd laugh and run away down the hallway. You ran your eye into one of the tables so have a little bit of a black eye. It goes well with your skinned knees and scratched nose from falling down a stair at daycare. You're a tough cookie though: you don't cry much at all even if it really hurts. If you cry, we know you really did something to yourself. I hope that doesn't change.
The other night dad found you on the toilet seat (closed) pulling toilet paper off the roll. We borrowed a potty chair for you to start to get used to. I think we'll try potty training this summer.
Last night, you rolled out my yoga mat. I said, "What are you going to do? Some downward dog?" You went right into down dog! I have no idea how you know that. You are also into somersaulting lately. You can't quite flip yourself over though.
You got to talk to Nana, Papa, and Uncle TJ on the computer tonight. You recognized everyone and called them by name. You also gave them the litany of animal sounds and some good "eeeewwww" and "kaka" and "yucky" sounds. You were looking in an empty plant pot that still had some dirt in it. You were pretty funny.
Every day we're so impressed with how much you can do and how much you observe and mimic. When my friends see you, especially if they haven't seen you in a while, all say how much of a little person you are. Apparently your personality is pretty strong already! Gee, I don't know where you get that from.
