Extremely strong neck

I'm not sure how strong babies' necks are supposed to be or when or how high they're supposed to be able to support them. However, your neck seems to be super strong! You can lift your head and whole chest off the floor and your shins and feet off the floor at the same time. (When you start watching mom do her P90X workouts, you'll learn that's called "banana".) You're enjoying tummy and floor time much better the last few days than you have before. Your focal points are getting further away so you can see farther than before, which I think makes a difference. Today you let me read you a whole chapter from Winnie the Pooh and do some extra playing before you were fed up with it. You love watching the dogs.
When we took you to your 1 month appointment, Uncle Mark said you had a spot flattening on the right side of your head because you really favored laying on that side. If we tried to turn your head to the left, you'd fuss and resist with as much muscle as you could muster. He said we had to force you onto your left side so you don't develop torticullis (spelled wrong probably) or have to be in a helmet to fix your skull. Karen, our chiropractor, is working on your shoulder blades and hips (which you do NOT enjoy) and showed us some stretches to do to help (which you also do NOT like). Already after a week and a few days it's much improved. When you're on your belly now, you tend to look mostly left, but while on your back you like to look more right and up. So, if a dog is in the room we put her on your left so you look at her the correct way.
