This is probably the last I'll post before you are actually here! Just thought I'd update you on a few things:

First, your dad is already freaking out about when I go into labor with you: he wants a bag packed (even though you're 3 weeks away yet and I'll be in labor probably 8 hours or so before we leave for the hospital anyway), towels and plastic garbage bags everywhere.

Second, Dixie has successfully tried out your crib and found it acceptable. She attempted testing your swing, but couldn't quite get in there since it moved on her. She also attempted the vibrating Boppy chair, but I caught her before she climbed in. She definitely likes the lady but that's attached.

Third, you either don't like being touched or we're tickling your feet or you just enjoy target practice. You've taken to kicking me on the right side of my stomach. It's pretty hard and you create a very distinct lump. One time I began rubbing it vigorously (maybe it felt like tickling as the vibrations transferred through the water) and you kicked harder. Twice your dad has put his hand there to feel the lump and you've kicked harder yet. At least you're passing some of that onto him finally!

We're pretty much ready for you: clothes and bedding is washed, diaper bag is packed for the hospital, things are assembled, we're definitely mentally ready and excited! We just have to pack our bag and install the car seats (both of which are happening this week) and get keys to people to let the dogs out and then you can come whenever you want. I finished my stuff for school (for the most part) so whenever you want to, kiddo, we're ready to meet you!

Emma - we can't wait to meet you and you are driving us crazy with waiting. Your mom isn't one for patience and has too many type A friends who'd marked October 31 on their calendars fully expecting to meet you by then! There is a wonderful world with really loving people who are READY to meet you -although I guess all we can do is wait for you to be ready! Just be nice to your mommy during labor :)
