We had shower #2 at Great Grandma Maurer's house last weekend. You got lots of cuddly blankets and sleepers as well as your swing and the monitor. Your great grandma made you a beautiful blanket and her best friend, Carol, got you a homemade sweater and booties. All are white and my first thoughts are, "They're going to get so dirty!" You won't be super mobile yet while you're in them, so they may last longer than I think. That won't stop us from using them though: they're too beautiful to never use. Your great grandma also decided to give away her first Hummel: a little baby sleeping in a manger with a lamb looking at it. It meant a lot to us to receive it and we could tell it meant a lot to her to give it. Collecting the Hummels was something she and your great grandpa used to always do together. You won't get to meet him, but we'll make sure you hear stories about him and he'll look out for you.

The following day, my close girl friends and I got together and had another small shower. We got the all-important diaper pail and some bottles. Of course, they also got the counting caterpillar for you! It took your dad a minute or two to remember how it worked. My guess is you'll be quicker with it. Your mom's students today were asking what would happen if you weren't good at math. I'm pretty sure with all the people who will surround you, that won't be the case.
I should also apologize to you. I'm not used to this belly (and you've made it quite big)! I have bumped off chairs and doors and my board at school not realizing how close I was to it. Thank you for dropping a bit as well: it's much easier to breathe now and my ribs don't hurt as much. You are moving like CRAZY though so you're getting your revenge on me for all the accidental bumping I do!
