18 month photos

Today was an adventure. We did some 18 month photos from you at one of those walk-in portrait studios. You seemed in a pretty good mood, unlike when you were at the doctor yesterday. I made the mistake of letting you see the Lego table they had. Then you didn't want anything to do with having pictures taken. We tried bubbles and stuffed animals and chairs and blocks. All to no avail. You didn't get happy until I played the Celtic music and then you would at least stand still. You were intrigued by the bubbles but wanted to blow them yourself. It wasn't until the photographer let you hit the button on the camera that made the flash go. Then you were plenty happy! We even got some smiles. My personal favorite is the one where you look like you're up to no good. Here's a peek at some of the photos. The rest can be found on Shutterfly or Facebook.

Yesterday was your 18 month doctors appointment, which your dad took you to. That was an adventure as well. You cried while they took your height; you cried while they took your weight; you cried when they measured your head; you cried when they gave you shots. The only time you didn't cry was when Uncle Mark had your coat on his head. You are 32" tall and just over 27 pounds (we didn't find that out until we took the dogs to the vet yesterday and you stood on the scale there). Afterwards, Dad took you to see Aunt Mickie and Anna. Anna walked you around the barn showing you the horses and the cats. I'm sorry I missed that. I'm not sorry I missed the crying!
