Crazy child

You are nearly 17 months old. I promised myself I wouldn't count in months so I really just tell people you're just under a year and a half. One of your new things is getting thrown around or thrown onto furniture. Then when you're on the furniture, you stand up, say, "Ready. One..." Then we have to say, "Ready? One, two, three. Go!" When we're counting, you just put one finger in the air and say "one" repeatedly. You don't like when we attempt to make you show 2 fingers and you say "no" when asked if you can say "two." You fling yourself forward on the bed, couch, piles of pillows, the water in the tub, and me.

The weather is finally getting warmer so we bought you some outdoor balls today. Your cousins will probably be happy we went with the soccer ball. You're too young yet for volleyballs. At Shawn's you only kick the balls around and I don't want you to do that with volleyballs.

Dad also put together your outdoor cottage. You love it. Of course, you play with the tools more so than the sink or flower boxes. They're real planter boxes, but I'm not sure the flowers would last if we put them in there.

It's hard work running around and playing. You were relaxing in the sun in your chair.
It's pretty crazy to me all the things you recognize and talk about and mimic. You recognize and say, "IPad." If you hear our phone make a noise, you stop what you're doing, point in the direction of it and say, "Phone." You still love dancing. I borrowed a Chieftans CD from a friend at school. It's Irish Folk music. You and I danced around to the first song. Then the second song started, I put you down to finish dinner, and then you danced on your own. When the song stopped, you signed and said "more".
