We went a few days letting you sleep in your swing again or on us for naps. I know the inconsistency probably didn't help my cause any. I decided this past Friday that I had 3 days to break you of sleeping in your swing for naps. I figured if we broke you of waking up at night and letting you put yourself to sleep for bed in 3 days I'd win the swing war in 3 days. Friday, I lost both battles. Saturday I lost both battles. Sunday I said forget it. Your sleep was more important than the fight. I figured I'd wait another few weeks and try again. You were going to daycare on Tuesday anyway. I hoped maybe the change of pace would make a difference. I stopped by daycare on Monday to drop things off to Shawn and update you on all your new things. I told her we had had no luck lately with the naps in cribs. Today you returned to daycare since I had to go back to work. Shawn said she was going to try the crib. I said ok.
You slept 2 naps in the CRIB! Amazing! She said around 9:30 you were falling asleep in your chair at the breakfast table so she put you in the crib. You cried a bit, she went back in and said good night again, and then you fell asleep. You woke up about 40 minutes later, cried a bit, and went back to sleep. In the afternoon she put you down with the rest of the kids. By started crying but by the time she was at the bottom of the stairs you were out. I don't get it. It's what everyone said would happen, and I'm glad. I'm baffled, but I'm glad.
I'm curious what will happen on weekends with me now if I try the same thing. When I nap, I nap on the couch so I wouldn't care if you didn't nap in your crib. The only problem is the dogs are loud and I'd like to be able to do things around the house so your room will be a more peaceful place for your naps. Help me out here kid!
We have figured out you're either allergic to or intolerant of eggs. All the times you've thrown up, you've had those for lunch or dinner. I made some awesome strawberry and banana pancakes for you and you threw up that night. You had no melon those days so it's not those. (Good news is you can eat your favorites again!)
Nana came up yesterday and went to the park with you and your dad and then hung around for dinner. She really enjoyed her time with you. You look like you had fun too. You were all about the wood chips it appears. You were generous though and shared some with Nana.
