Yesterday we went to MSU to walk around since it was so beautiful. I also had no plans for dinner so I figured we'd go to Potbelly for some sandwiches. We walked around on campus for almost 45 minutes. You ran around Beaumont Tower and through the Beal gardens. I was a bit concerned you were going to run yourself tired and then want to be carried, which at nearly 36 weeks pregnant wasn't going to happen. When we got to the Sparty statue, you noticed the paving stones were rectangles. You said, "Mama, let's walk on the rectangles!" You walked on the ones that are a in a circle around the statue. When you got to the back, you looked up and said, "Look at his butt!"
You were walking a bit slower after visiting the Sparty statue, but you still walked the whole way. You waved to lots of people. While we were eating dinner at Potbelly, we sat in one of the booths by the window and you even waved to the people walking down the street. Lots of them were nice enough to wave back. You're very outgoing.
When we got to campus, you said, "Mama, this is my campus!" When we were driving home, we went down Shaw Lane and passed Holmes Hall. I pointed it out and told you your dad and I lived there. You said, "I want to go there!"
While you're only 2, I'm really happy to live so close to campus to expose you to that. In a few weeks we'll go to their small animal day and you'll get to pet some baby animals and visit some adult animals. On the way home we drove past horses, cows, and sheep. Your dad and I would love for you to attend MSU, but if for some reason you choose to not go there, we'll support that (as long as it's not U of M, unless you have a really good reason!)
