Singing and snot

Here's a couple updated pictures we took at Nana's house.

The other day we were driving home from Shawn's house. I heard you in the back seat start singing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." You sung the whole thing on the way home. That night, we were at the dinner table and you started singing. You sang, "Twinkle, twinkle little star. Mama, how about what's next?" I sang the next line, then asked you for the third line and you picked it right up. It was really funny. You also sing along to Dave Matthew's "Seven". The song repeats "Love you" about 8 times and then "you" about 8 more times. You pick up and sing those even with his intonation. You also try to sing a Foo Fighter's song where the lead singer is singing really high. You just sound like a dying cat in that one. Sorry, kid.

Your new phrase is "Holy wow!" We were out sweeping the fallen walnuts off the driveway on Sunday. You picked one up and said, "Holy wow!" Your vocabulary and amount of talking and what you can identify continues to amaze me.

Your nose has been running a bit lately. You've taken to wiping it off on your hand or arm. Tonight we were waiting for the bath to fill up and I was cutting the fingernails on your right hand. You then leaned over and wiped your nose on MY arm. Apparently, you don't discriminate arms.

I am enjoying my time with you more and more. Today you helped me do the crossword: you would type in the letter I told you to, although you're still a bit shaky on some. The QWERTY keyboard threw you a bit too. Also while we were sitting there you randomly counted to 4 in French unprovoked by me. At the beginning of our school year, our assistant superintendent told us that some kindergartners coming in can't count to 10, spell their name, or know their alphabet. You're 2 and half way there (plus you have some French to boot!). I wish more kids picked up things like you did. This world would be very different if that were the case.
