While I was at work the other day, you were home with dad. I called him during my prep hour to see what you guys had decided on for dinner. He said, "Didn't you get the picture I sent you?" No, because there is not much service in my room. He said, "Well, we're having chicken noodle soup. I cut all the vegetables up and then drug a chair over for Emma to sit on. She put all the vegetables in the crock pot and even stirred in between some additions." How do you know to do that!? I can hear Uncle Denny now: "I hope she washed her hands."

In addition to cooking, you have started trying to somersault. You say the word better than completing the action. You get down into a great downward dog and tuck your head, but you can't quite push off your feet yet. You tend to just slide onto your side.

I'm amazed at how quickly you learn and remember things now compared to when you were younger. The other day we were going through animal noises, and I got you to make a monkey noise -- "eek, eek, eek." The next day I asked you what sound a monkey makes and you repeated it perfectly. We were also outside the other day and a train whistle was sounding in the distance. I told you it was a "choo choo train" and you started repeating that. Then, today we were outside again, you heard the whistle, and kept repeating "choo choo train."
