So we started you on solids about two weeks ago. This was earlier than I had wanted. I wanted to wait until 6 months. We stopped giving you the rice cereal because you had some eczema appear which we attributed to that plus you had the crazy teething diarrhea and I don't think the rice cereal was helping. One night I had nursed you and you were still angry. I checked all the basics (diaper, nothing hurting you, tried to distract you with toys, hug you, burp you, etc) and nothing made you stop crying. I plopped you in your high chair, mashed up some banana, gave you some and that was the end of it all. You LOVED it!
I figured since we started we may as well keep going so you have had sweet potatoes, acorn squash and pears since then and loved them all. You'll eat about 2 ounces at a time. In a few days you'll get some avocado and some green beans. I'm making the food for you and I love using my food processor. The websites said it's hard to break down the green bean skins and I may need to strain them to get them out. They've apparently never seen my beast of a food processor!
I think the banana, which can cause constipation so we watch how much we give you, helped with the diarrhea though. Your teeth have popped through pretty far (both bottom front ones). It seems to be taking forever for them to get all the way in. That could also be why your diarrhea stopped though. The new diapers are not so great. The food looks pretty much the same coming out as it did going in. However it does not smell as pleasant through the other end.
