You are scooting around a lot now. You'll spend about 30-40 minutes on the floor at a time. You'll roll from your back to your belly, then spin yourself in a circle by pulling your left leg up and kicking a bit. You spin easier when you're on your jungle mat because the mat allows you to slide more. You can scoot forward and back a bit. Going backwards is easier. You turned and rolled and made your way over to your dad's toe one night: dad and I were sitting on the couch and I hear him yell, "Ouch! That's my toe you're nibbling on!" You're also able to handle your toys a bit better - you can grasp them easier and move them from hand to hand pretty reliably. You can pull your bink out of your mouth and put it back, but you tend to turn it so you don't get the nipple part back in your mouth. When you can get the nipple part back in your mouth, it's vertical instead of horizontal.
We're also getting closer to starting you on solids. We could have started you on rice cereal at 4 months. I chose not to because it was going to be easier to do it over my spring break rather than on a weeknight when I might have school work. To prepare for this dad put you in your high chair for the first time the other day. I walked in the door after getting home from school and saw you there. You smiled SO big! You thought you were pretty hot stuff. You also thought it was so cool to drop toys onto the floor, which was much further away than the tabletop was when you were in your bumbo chair on that. Kaya learned real quick to not lie under the chair. Although when you start to eat food, she'll probably learn real quick to head back under you.
