4 months

You were 4 months old yesterday! Time flies! It feels like you've always been here, you fit in so well. I know I'm going to regret this, but you seem easy right now. Sleeping pretty well, some nights from 8:30 to 5 or 6; some nights you wake up once to eat then sleep till 8. You can do "cobra", the yoga pose, where you've completely pushed yourself up from the waist up. You are still rolling from your back to your belly, and now you can turn yourself while you're on your belly. You especially like to turn towards Kaya if she's lying by you on the floor.

Your dad thinks you'll be crawling in 3 weeks. If you are, I think it will be because you want to chase down Kaya. You LOVE her. When you see her your smile is from ear-to-ear. If she gets close enough to you, you reach out to her to pet her. She just licks you, which you don't mind. Of course, your hand then ends up in your mouth, so your dad and I try to get to your hand first.

You had a bout of pink eye last week. It was gross. Your right eye had crusted over during the night. When I went to get you in the morning to feed you, I turned on the desk light in your room so your crib was still shaded a bit and I couldn't quite tell what was on your eye. At first I thought it was a booger you had somehow sneezed onto your eye. When you went to open your eye the stretching of the gunk grossed me out. After wiping it off your eyelid was purplish-pink and it looked like you had a shiner. We had to give you antibiotic drops. It was harder to get the drops in your eyes with you squirming than it was to get drops in the dogs' eyes when we had to. It cleared up quick, but your dad seemed to get it today. So far I have managed to not get it. I washed everything in the house...twice.

You laugh now when we do certain things to you which is really funny. Of course we'll do anything to get you to laugh.

You can almost play in your bouncy thing from Great Grandpa. You're a little short still so you can't reach everything. You can spin the chicks in the egg (and you like the rattling sound) and you can reach the tomato and you try to eat it.
