I called your dad from school during my lunch today. He said, "I saw lightbulbs go off in Emma's head today." He went on to relate two stories:
First, you have figured out how to get out of your Bumbo chair. You have discovered if you turn your whole body, your foot slides out of the foot hole and into the chair part. Then if you push with that foot against the side and lean really far over the side, you can kick yourself right out. This is more efficient than just arching your back and trying to pop your legs out, which you do when you no longer want to be in the chair.
Second, he had you lying on his chest. He put your hands under your chest. You kicked your feet and got your butt in the air and up on your knees. All this together made you move a few inches forward toward dad's face. He said you stopped and contemplated a minute as if to say, "WHOA! I moved!" Fortunately for us, I don't think you have enough coordination to do that on your own so no crawling yet. I don't think it's too far off though!
