We're trying to make memories here!

We got a handprint mold as a shower gift so mom decided that we'd do your hand at 1 month. Dad rolled out the stuff for the mold and attempted to push your hand in while I held you. The first time dad got it pressed in and then said, "Ok, pull back now." As you pulled back (with my help) you closed your hand into a fist and took some of the mold with you. We tried it again...and again...and again...all with the same outcome or you not wanting to even open your hand to start with. After the third time, I so lovingly yelled at you, "We're trying to make memories here damnit! Open your hand!" I decided one more try, but dad and I were going to switch rolls - he'd hold you and I'd attempt to press your hand in. Fortunately on this try we got it! He suggested around try 3 to just do your foot, but we already had your footprints in ink from the day you were born, and I wanted to remember how small your hands were. I was determined we'd get it!
