Should I be worried that when Disturbed (a fairly heavy rock band) comes on the radio you began dancing or bobbing your head? I did listen to that while I was pregnant with you, but not nearly as much as the Dave Matthews Band. We'll probably have to stop listening to Disturbed once you can understand the lyrics. I really don't want your first word to be the F-word.

You are currently in your crib at home taking a nap! I can't tell you how excited I am. Apparently daycare trained you for home instead of home training you for daycare. It's a good thing too. I put you in your swing yesterday and you just barely fit. Not too long now and your feet will be hanging over the end. Since you're napping in your crib now, we can probably put the swing away.
Grandma and your Aunt Marilyn were amazed that you are now feeding yourself. Grandma said I didn't feed myself as early as you started to. I just thought it was normal. Shawnie is amazed with how much you eat at daycare! Apparently they had cupcakes the other day and you really wanted some but she knew I would not be thrilled about that. Someday you can have them, but until you're over your egg intolerance they're a no go. We did find a substitute: I can use flax meal mixed with some water in place of an egg. I remade some pancakes for you with that and now you love the pancakes - strawberry and banana flavored. Next time we'll try blueberry and apple.
We have a photo shoot set up for early October to get some 1-year photos of you and some family photos. We're going to go to an apple orchard, which seems fitting since that's what Dad and I do every year for our anniversary. We'll probably end up going twice this season since we're still planning on going for our anniversary and taking you with us. I'm not sure if you'll get to try the doughnuts or not. We'll have to see if anyone knows if they put egg in them. All the recipes I've seen for doughnuts don't include egg, but you never know what secret ingredients people might include. I'm hoping whatever apple orchard we go to will have a pumpkin patch too. I think that will make for some good pictures as well.
You wore your Heart New York onesie that Uncle Jeremy got you on Saturday in honor of September 11. When you're old enough we'll tell you about that day. It was a sad day in the history of this nation. Mom and dad were in college.

The other day your dad was trying to eat some dinner. Dixie decided to investigate, which caused you to want to see what was up. You crawled over and pulled yourself up, saw dad had food, then pushed Dixie down. Kaya also came to investigate.
