Officially crawling!

You have been army crawling and scooting around for awhile now. You got so good at army crawling you haven't bothered to actually crawl. Yesterday we went to a baby shower and I put you in a dress. When we got home and you were playing on the floor, I noticed you were doing your best to keep from dragging your knees and thighs across the ground so you were a little closer to doing actual crawling. I pointed that out to your dad and told him to put you in a dress or shorts today (since it was 86 and really humid). I came home and found you crawling around the floor! It's really hard to keep you in one spot now. You visited me in the kitchen and watched out the front door while I watered the plants.

Now that you're more mobile we're finding things we need to baby proof. We are also finding out what you like as toys more so than the toys we bought you. I've decided I'm going to title your 6 month photos "Why did I bother buying toys for you since you play with these things instead?" A short list of things: the plastic cover on the air vent, the cardboard tube from a roll of wrapping paper, the cord for the ipod to the stereo, the strap on my school bag, the lace of my shoe, water bottles, tags on the rugs, and the lamp cord. I'm sure this list will only get longer.

You also have another tooth poking through - the top left. It's funny to see you smile now. You love to smile and laugh and we love to make you do it!
