You are 5 months today! It is the Monday after Easter. Today and tomorrow are designated family days. We spent 2 days travelling, showing you off. Today we just want to be a 3-some. We worked outside this morning in the yard. You started in your pack 'n play, but I don't think you could see very well through the mesh so you got a little frustrated. We put you in your bumbo chair and then you were happy for a while - as long as your hat didn't slide down over your eyes. You were able to watch the dogs and mom and dad dig in the garden. We worked on the soil, getting it ready to plant our carrots, peas, green beans, lettuce, and squash. We still have to add some stuff to the soil so we get good crops, but we're almost there. We'll have plenty of food to make into food for you provided it all works out well.
Last week I went to wake you up and found you asleep on your belly, butt up in the air. You haven't repeated that yet. You're getting a little more restless when you sleep at night. You're waking up a few times more, wanting to nurse, but you don't eat much and you fall back asleep. You've had crazy #2 diapers too, been chewing on everything, drooling and blowing raspberries more. You bottom gums feel a little swollen, at least different from your top ones. I wonder if you're teething. You were cranky last week too at daycare. You have also been talking up a STORM the last two days.
You're moving around like crazy. You aren't crawling just yet, but you're so close! According to the books you're a month ahead of schedule on all your movements. Aunt Kellyn's friend has a baby 3 weeks younger than you and doesn't move nearly as much as you. My friend Sean has a son about a month older than you who doesn't move around as much either. Of course every mom wants her kid to be advanced, so I could just be projecting.
